About Us
Community Engagement
Effective community engagement is a key component of any successful commercial or residential development process. NST Collaborative leverages expertise in this area to create and maintain positive, honest relationships with local communities in which our projects are located. Our intention is to encourage engaged communication so that community values and priorities are understood, while creating mutual understanding and benefit for all involved. NST Collaborative utilizes a tailored engagement plan for each project that includes the hallmarks of our approach - participatory, intentional, transparent and accessible. We are adept at utilizing various outreach tools to surmise community preferences including public meetings, community gatherings, focus groups, online engagement (including social media) and surveys. We also disseminate user-friendly updates on the project's progress, address emerging concerns and answer questions during the project's tenure. Our community engagement approach facilitates successful development project outcomes.
Housing Community Development
We live in a society in which most communities are either thriving or barely surviving. The recent pandemic revealed the inadequacies that exist not only in plain sight, but are steeped in systemic disparities within many communities. Oftentimes, communities are struggling from a lack of broad bandwidth for internet connection to food insecurity, families who are living on the fringes financially, along with the mental stress that exacerbates the uncertainty of the future. At the core of each community are individuals and families, businesses, schools, churches, parks, and other aspects that make up the very unique characteristics and fabric of where they call home. In order to provide a holistic approach to address economic development, workforce capacity, housing options, education, and many other challenges, communities must be willing to assess their strengths while combating their challenges. Community engagement is a critical aspect in developing an inclusive process in which there is an intentional approach to involve everyone. With the use of the Asset Based Community Development Model, NST Collaborative has demonstrated their expertise to incorporate a holistic approach while increasing social capital, building consensus, and equipping communities to strategically problem solve. NST Collaborative is intentional in its efforts to work with communities and stakeholders to engage in a collaborative process for long term sustainable solutions.

Rather than approaching your project in the traditional way, where clients hire multiple companies to handle different parts of a project and manage the complicated and distanced communication between those companies, NST’s Architecture department works closely with the Acquisitions and Development teams every day to bring a project to life from start to finish. Through collaboration, strong communication, and accountability, we can achieve your development’s goals all under one roof.
Stakeholder Collaboration
NST Collaborative believes stakeholder engagement is a vital aspect of real estate development as it helps to ensure projects are socially responsible, environmentally sustainable, and economically viable. It can also help to mitigate risks and challenges that may arise during the development process and promote long-term success. NST Collaborative effectively involves and communicates with various stakeholder groups (local residents, community groups, government officials, environmental organizations, investors, etc.) that have a vested interest in the development project. The engagement process may involve a range of activities such as public meetings, consultations, surveys, digital outreach, and other forms of engagement.
